EUBETA Monthly ONLINE MeetUp – 26 October 2026

Legal & Business English – Who Needs It When There’s AI?

CHALLENGES FOR TEACHERS, TRAINERS & PROFESSIONALS

Is Artificial Intelligence making Legal and Business English professionals redundant, or is it making our expertise more valuable than ever?

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking ILETA/EUBETA Monthly Trainers’ MeetUp, where we will explore the changing role of Legal and Business English in an increasingly AI-driven world.

With AI tools now capable of translating documents, drafting contracts, generating business correspondence and explaining legal terminology, we need to ask ourselves some important questions:

  • Who needs Legal and Business English training when AI can do so much?
  • What new skills do Legal and Business English professionals need to remain relevant, competitive and indispensable?

Our challenge is not simply to compete with AI, but to redefine the value we bring to the learning experience.

As teachers, trainers, translators, interpreters and legal and business language professionals, we have an opportunity to rethink our roles, embrace new technologies and help our learners develop the critical thinking, communication skills and professional judgement that AI cannot reliably replace.

Let’s share our experiences, challenge assumptions and discuss what the future holds for our professions.
